Sydney Convention & Exhibition Centre Hotels

The Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre is on the waterfront in the Darling Harbour area of Sydney. The Convention Centre opened in 1988 and was expanded in 1999. The three buildings at the Centre are the Exhibition Centre, the Convention Centre Parkside and the Convention Centre Bayside. The Convention Centre can accommodate up to 9,000 people for an event.
One of the halls in the Exhibition Centre can hold up to 3,450 people if the hall is arranged in a theater style. Two thousand people will fit in the hall for a banquet. Event planners can negotiate the capacities of multiple halls with the Convention Centre.
The ballroom at the Convention Centre Parkside will hold 1,100 people for a banquet. This room will hold up to 1,145 people if it is arranged in a theater style. Rooms in this building will accommodate groups of less than 100 people.
The auditorium in the Convention Centre Bayside can hold up to 3,430 people if the room is arranged in a theater style. The Grand Hall in the building will hold 1,340 people for a banquet. Some rooms here can be used for groups of less than 100 people.
Event organizers can have breakfast, lunch and dinner served. Meals can be served buffet style.
The Convention Centre is a ten minute walk from Sydney’s Central Business District. Visitors can reach the center by car, train, light rail, bus or ferry.
